DNZ news: There has been a significant development in the investigation into the traffic accident that claimed the life of 8-year-old Hümeyra Özmen in the Selçuk district of Izmir. The driver responsible for the accident, identified as İ.P., has been arrested.

The initial phase of the investigation was conducted at the Selçuk Courthouse. However, with the arrest warrant request, the case was transferred to the Torbalı Courthouse. All eyes were on the decision to be made by the Torbalı Courthouse.

Serkan Özkan, the family’s lawyer, spoke to journalist Deniz Doğan and shared with the public that an arrest warrant had been issued for I.P. With this decision, the driver responsible for Hümeyra’s death was sent to prison.
