The General Directorate of Meteorology said that Turkey will face a heatwave between July 5 and 12. Temperatures may be 6 degrees higher than normal.
It is expected to be 44°C in Aydın and 43°C in Diyarbakır.
Heatwaves around the world not only make life hard for millions of people, but also cause serious dangers for the environment and human health.
In the summer of 2019, extreme heat is believed to have caused the deaths of around 356,000 people worldwide, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters ever recorded.
There can be big differences in the numbers when counting deaths caused by hot weather. But there is no doubt that more and more people are facing this problem, and because of climate change caused by humans, it will happen more often in the near future.
