Azra Betül Erik is a 29 year old woman living in Adana Türkiye. İn 2019 after finishing her last law exam at university in Gaziantep she had a serious car accident. She became paralyzed nd started to use a wheelchair.

After a long treatment Azra continued her life. She also did a master’s degree in international Trade Law. Three years ago a friend told her about the Beta Energy Disabled Sports Club. She visitedthe club and met new people.

Even though she never played sports before Azra started wheelchair basketball. Her coach and teammates helped her a lot. Now she loves basketball and plays with passion.

Azra says sports helped her become more confident an social. She feels happy to be part of the team and wants to help her team in the new season.

She says “Being in this team gave me many good things. I feel stronger now. The problem is not in the body but in the mind”
