DJ Eva Başak, recognized as one of Turkey’s most successful DJs and known for her stage performances across Europe, has added another social responsibility project to her list.
The renowned DJ took the stage for a special concert in the Menderes district of Izmir, this time to benefit street animals.
The event, organized with the support of Menderes Municipality and in collaboration with Müzikonair, brought together art and music with social awareness at the Menderes Amphitheater.
The artists and DJs who performed that night donated all proceeds to the Haçiko Association to improve the living conditions of stray animals.
ARTISTS UNITED AS ONE
At the event organized and hosted by Müzikonair CEO Özcan Beylan, many names from the art world shared the same stage. DJ Eva Başak, who performed the opening act, thrilled the audience with her selection of local and international tracks. DJ Görkem Gök then took the stage and continued the musical feast.
Artists Muhammed İlteriş Yelken, Betül Bulut, Kerim Kaşka, and Mert Algan also received loud applause from the audience for the songs they performed. Sound engineer Suat Özkara, who was responsible for the technical aspects of the evening, also played an important role in ensuring the event ran smoothly.
Proceeds Donated to Haçiko Association
All proceeds from the event were donated to the Haçiko Association to cover the food, shelter, and medical needs of stray animals. The concert left a lasting impression not only with its musical performances but also with its social message.
Organizer Özcan Beylan said in his speech, “We were united for street animals on this special night. It is our responsibility to contribute to their living conditions. We will continue this voluntary solidarity with different projects.”
A MEANINGFUL MESSAGE FROM DJ EVA
At the end of the night, DJ Eva Başak took the stage wearing a special Turkish flag-themed dress she designed herself and played Barış Kömürcüoğlu’s “Hav Hav” and Cüneyt Özgür’s “Bize Emanet Onlar.” Eva Başak then concluded the night with the İzmir March and the Tenth Year March, receiving a standing ovation.
The famous DJ addressed his fans in his closing speech, saying, “We must all do our best for God’s speechless creatures. Let us not forget to place a bowl of water and food at our doorsteps. Let us build shelters for them to live in suitable places. Show mercy to those on earth, so that those in heaven may show mercy to you.”
Support from Civil Society and the Political World
The concert was followed with interest not only by the people of Menderes, but also by representatives of civil society organizations and local leaders from different political parties. Participants contributed to raising awareness about street animals by supporting this special event, which combined art with social sensitivity.
This special night left a lasting impression with both the artists’ stage performances and messages of solidarity for stray animals.
DJ Eva, who was highly acclaimed at this event as she is at every event she performs at, once again demonstrated both her artistry and her conscience with this meaningful project. This time, the heart of the entertainment beat not with music, but with compassion.
